Many see agriculture happening in rural Canada or they know that farmers grow food. But do you know what careers are available in the agricultural sector? What this diverse sector has to offer across the supply chain?
At Mythbusting Perceptions in Agriculture, we will discuss the opportunities the sector provides and what skills are in high demand!
Throughout the day we will discuss current perceptions of agriculture, how those outside the industry feel about the jobs and a few myths about agricultural production.
The event will provide potential job seekers with knowledge on how the sector operates and what CAHRC and partnering organizations see has potential job opportunities in sectors in their areas. Additionally, we want to allow job seekers the opportunity to connect with those already in the sector and gain contacts that may provide job opportunities in the future.
Providing this educational day allows those who are distant from the sector to understand the potential for a career pathway, meet those involved in the industry and explore where their skills may be needed. Our continued demand for highly skilled workers show we have work to do recruiting individuals outside of our workforce.
