Agriculture Going Global, a series of workshops, for agricultural producers interested in exporting, is now available.
This new resource, developed by the Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC), in partnership with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT), is designed to help individuals make crucial exporting decisions, avoid common pitfalls, and increase their understanding of international trade and foreign markets.
Workshop topics include assessing market opportunities internationally, investigating issues related to marketing agricultural products overseas, discussing ways to manage the flow of goods in the most efficient manner, and learning about key elements of trade finance including export costing, payment methods and risk insurance.
“The Agriculture Going Global workshop, not only provided valuable information about exporting, but also gave us the confidence in marketing our product overseas.” said Shawn Bourgeois, All Canadian Grain Inc., who attended an Agriculture Going Global workshop.
Agriculture Going Global workshops can be delivered by export service providers, educational institutions, industry associations, and private companies. For more information or to find out how your organization can offer these workshops, please contact CAHRC at 1-866-430-7457 or info@cahrc-ccrha.ca.
