The Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC) is doing a research project called NAOF – the National Agricultural Occupational Framework and Labour Market Support project. This project is an in-depth study of the exact jobs and skills associated with modern agriculture.
At this time, agricultural producers are being offered a unique opportunity to give ground floor input into the labour needs of the agricultural industry – and we urge you to participate.
The purpose of this project is to help fix the labour shortage problem in Canadian agriculture. This will be done by:
- Identifying exactly what the jobs and needed skills are;
- Developing the training and job boards or job matching services to connect producers with workers who have the right skills; and,
- Training producers with solid HR skills on how to access, train and retain workers.
To participate in a focus group, please contact Project Manager, Jade Reeve at reeve@cahrc-ccrha.ca or call 613-745-7457 ext. 228
