Are you passionate about building impactful learning programs that strengthen workforce skills across the country? We’re looking for a dynamic Manager, Training & Workforce Development to lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of our training and e-learning initiatives.

About CAHRC
The Canadian Agricultural Human Resource Council (CAHRC) is a national, non-profit organization delivering trusted labour market information (LMI), skills analysis, training and workforce solutions for Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector.

Our work supports a resilient and innovative workforce across the food, fuel, and fibre value chain—helping the sector respond to evolving labour, skills, and productivity challenges. CAHRC leads the National Workforce Strategic Plan (NWSP) for Agriculture and Food and Beverage Manufacturing and advances inclusive workforce initiatives, including those focused on women in agriculture and Indigenous engagement.

Agriculture and agri-food is a dynamic, technology-enabled sector where employers are environmental stewards, economic contributors, and essential to Canada’s food security. CAHRC collaborates with industry, government, and partners across Canada to ensure decisions are evidence-based and impactful.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Products & Services, you will oversee the end-to-end management of training programs—ensuring they are high-quality, relevant, and aligned with industry needs. You’ll collaborate with partners, instructors, and stakeholders to deliver engaging learning experiences while managing timelines, budgets, and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of training and e-learning programs (virtual and in-person)
•    Oversee curriculum design, updates, and Learning Management System (LMS) operations
•    Ensure training content reflects current industry standards and best practices
•    Manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, instructors, and stakeholders
•    Monitor program usage, track outcomes, and report on impact
•    Support marketing and promotion through presentations, digital content, and outreach activities
•    Contribute to learner recruitment, intake, and information sessions
•    Drive quality assurance, risk management, and continuous improvement processes
•    Identify growth opportunities and contribute to business development, proposals, and partnerships

Qualifications

EDUCATION
University Bachelor or Master’s degree in Education, Training and Development, Business, Agriculture or related discipline.

EXPERIENCE
At least 3 years of experience working in the curriculum and training development. 
At least 3 years of experience delivering training content.
At least 3 years of experience as Project Manager. 
At least 2 years of experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
At least 1 year experience working in non-profit organization (desirable).

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design for training and e-learning programs
Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) administration, functionality, and user experience.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 including MS Teams and Power Point
Knowledge of MLS, experience with Learn Dash and Articulate Storyline will be an asset 
Previous experience with Mighty Networks, Monday and Canva will be an asset

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Project Management Professional Certification (desirable).
Certified Training and Development Professional (CTPD) or Certified Training Professional (CTP) (desirable).
Bilingual (English/French) (desirable).

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $70,000 –$80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Comprehensive group benefits following a three-month probation period.
Vacation: Four weeks annually.
Sick Leave: Twelve paid sick days per year.
Retirement: Mandatory participation in a 50/50 RRSP program with a 5% employer contribution.
