The Opportunity
CAHRC is seeking a Manager, HR Services to lead the development, delivery, and growth of HR tools, products, and services for Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector.

This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys combining project management, stakeholder engagement, and service innovation. You will manage funded projects, shape CAHRC’s HR service offerings, and contribute to business development by identifying emerging sector needs and helping secure new opportunities.

Reporting to the Director, Products and Services, the Manager, HR Services plays a key role in ensuring CAHRC’s HR solutions are high-quality, relevant, and widely adopted across the sector.

What You’ll Do
Lead HR Products and Services
•    Manage the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR tools, resources, and services
•    Ensure products and services meet quality standards, sector needs, and funder requirements
•    Monitor usage, impact, and performance, and report on outcomes

Project Management & Delivery
•    Plan, manage, and deliver multiple funded projects on time and on budget
•    Develop and maintain project scopes, work plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers
•    Apply quality assurance, change control, and risk management processes
•    Oversee day-to-day project operations and ensure timely invoicing and reporting

Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, government, and sector partners
•    Secure and support project champions and advisory groups
•    Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and funding partners

Business Development & Growth
•    Identify emerging HR and workforce needs in the agriculture and agri-food sector
•    Support proposal development and funding applications
•    Secure new HR services-related business beyond project-funded activities

Communications & Knowledge Sharing
•    Support the development of marketing and communications materials, including presentations, website content, social media, and outreach materials
•    Translate research and project findings into clear, accessible tools and resources for diverse audiences

What You Bring
Education & Experience
•    Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Agriculture, or a related field
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources
•    Minimum 3 years of experience managing projects
•    Experience in a non-profit organization (an asset)
•    Experience or familiarity with the agriculture or agri-food sector (an asset)

Technical & Professional Skills
•    Strong project planning, coordination, and reporting skills
•    Strong knowledge of employment legislation and compliance, HR policy development and HR best practices
•    Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
•    Experience with tools such as Canva and Monday.com (an asset)
•    Ability to use digital tools and platforms to improve efficiency and engagement

Professional Designations (Assets)
•    CPHR or  HRPA  designations or working toward it 
•    Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification
•    Bilingual (English/French)

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Benefits: Comprehensive group benefits following a three-month probation period.
Vacation: Four weeks annually.
Sick Leave: Twelve paid sick days per year.
Retirement: Mandatory participation in a 50/50 RRSP program with a 5% employer contribution.
